polyVISIONS began operations in 1986 structured to market proprietary, specialty polypropylene resins (LMWPP or proFLOW Resins) manufactured using equipment at toll compounding facilities. In 1989, polyVISIONS was incorporated with corporate offices in Downingtown, PA and production facilities in York, PA. The production facilities housed one production line within the CYBER Center, an incubator site. polyVISIONS perfected the technology to produce proFLOW Resins. These products are uniquely polyVISIONS' products, not available from any other company in the world. In 1990, as a result of consulting and custom resin development efforts, a new special food grade channel black additive product was developed for microwaveable food trays. Within the first year, this product (EBONY Resins) quadrupled our sales volume and continues to represent a major portion of our sales. In 1992, polyVISIONS entered into a joint venture with Teledyne Readco, a local producer of mixing equipment for the food industry, to modify their basic equipment for compounding plastic materials. The technology development was complete in March 1995, with the installation of the prototype production unit in the CYBER Center and has resulted in equipment sales. In 1996, polyVISIONS moved into our new dedicated facility in Manchester, PA. Four production lines as well as R & D laboratories for product/process development are available. polyVISIONS focuses on custom resin formulation, toll compounding, consulting, processing concentrates, and specialty processing additives. We now have the products, sales commitments, and adequate production equipment for our next stage of growth.
